Chinese for Love

Learn Chinese for Love Audio Series

Are you interested in Learning Chinese for relationships and want to get an interesting insight into Chinese Culture? If so, then we just the course for you here!

What’s Included

Nǐ Hǎo! We’ll gonna talk a little bit about what you’ve learned in the Chinese Love Series. Basically this series is made for those of you who are interested from at the very start when you thinking about love in China or if you’re looking for a girl in China and to ask her out, going on a date, going on a trip together, the proposal, meeting the parents, and the sort of the culture expectations that gonna happen after that.

EVA:

Yeah, exactly. We’ll gonna take more practical approach to what goes on there so every lesson has a bit of introduction, maybe a bit of background of what does that mean. For example, we have a double valentine, my friend and Wan is focusing on the Western kind date while the other one is focusing on the celebration with Chinese Valentines and the story behind it. So, you gonna learn some phrases, some words, some slang, some conversational Chinese as well as getting a sort of notification of what’s that mean. So something about how Chinese girl behave, their values, their traditions and things like that. Very practical stuff

RUI:

Exactly. Regardless of which situation you’re in, whether you’re at the start and you wanna ask a Chinese girl out and you don’t know anything about culture, how to approach the situation, how they might think, how they might react to our modules in this video, right? If you got a Chinese girlfriend then there are some sorts of culture clashes there so this gonna help you understand her perspective and where she’s coming from. If you gonna meet her parents, that’s a big thing in China.

EVA:

Exactly, for meeting the parents always have a very important role in the girl’s life so we will also tell you a little bit more about that. And not to spoil anything but we also have a lesson on proposal and who knows we might help some of you to pop that question.

RUI:

So the lucky girl who gets that question, you can make her even luckier by doing it the right way.

EVA:

Exactly.

RUI:

You can propose to her in Chinese and have a few phrases especially for that special day.

EVA:

That’s gonna so romantic and she’s really gonna appreciate that.

RUI:

And then after you’re married, you have kids, we’re gonna go through some of her expectations, what she’s thinking and what sort of thing that gonna goes in a relationship.

EVA:

Right and also the deeds and values that you and her might share from education. I am sure that you will find out sooner or later that parents are always be there and will have a big influence on the girl’s thinking and instead we teach with the way dealing with them in the right way so showing them respect.

RUI:

We will also talk about how Chinese people think about children, the importance of education which is very highly valued in Chinese culture and how Chinese people select schools and these kind of stuff as well. We’ll get a little bit of that, not so much of that part but we’ll cover that as well.

EVA:

Right.

RUI:

Okay. So if you got any questions, you can send us an email. We’ll look forward to seeing you in class. ZàiJiàn!

EVA:

ZàiJiàn!

 My Mandarin Story

I first started to teach Mandarin privately during my spare time while I was a university student in Sydney. Though I grew up in Sydney (in the lower north shore since I was 3 years old!), I speak both Chinese Mandarin and English fluently.

I continued to teach Mandarin while I worked full time in the corporate world both privately and in classes at community centres. I had a lot of students who tried learning Chinese Mandarin before but complained that they didn’t really learn anything. When I looked through the course material, I realised that the material made good bedtime reads — they did a good job of putting me to sleep! So I quickly put together my own course material which focused on the essentials — i.e. what students could use almost immediately — instead of the boring grammar stuff that students would forget and anyway wouldn’t need until they were at a much more advanced level. Well that become very popular indeed! After lots of referrals and recommendations, I couldn’t handle all of the students on top of my corporate job. So at the end of 2006, I recorded an audio course for the students I couldn’t accommodate and I offered it on a website.

The audio course evolved into an online video course after a lot of positive customer feedback. In those 6 years, more than 8,400 people and counting have learned to speak Mandarin fluently through my teaching methods. It is immensely gratifying each time I get an email: Thank You! I can now Speak Chinese!

If you choose to learn with me, please send me your success story! I really do love to read them. That’s why I put all of this effort into the website — to help as many people as possible achieve their goal of speaking Chinese and dispel the myth that Chinese is such a darned difficult language to learn.

Here is just one feedback from a current subscriber to the Online Learn Mandarin Course:

I found the course very effective and well structured.
Within 3 weeks of starting the course I found myself being able to pronounce and structure words in sentences well enough for Chinese people to understand me.
Would definitely recommend this course for anyone interested in learning mandarin.
Thanks!

My course is actually recommended by some learning institutions around Australia which lack a Chinese Mandarin Program. Why? Quite simply because this course is designed to teach you how to really speak Mandarin Chinese. One student that was referred to me this way had this to say:

“I have tried so many different programs on learning Chinese but the way you do the videos, the way you explain words, concepts and ideas… It’s fantastic! It’s better than anything else I have tried before. And I like listening to your voice. I have tried some other programs and a few classes but I have never really gotten anywhere with those. I will happily recommend your video lessons to my friends interested in learning Chinese and certainly to your readers.”

Testimonial

If you want an easy program where you will actually learn to speak Chinese and not waste money on useless courses or books, then there is no other program quite like this one. Here is what Bryan H. had to say:

“THIS WAS THE BREAKTHROUGH I WAS LOOKING FOR. In several weeks I progressed more than I did in the previous 12 months using other programs. As I am in my late 50’s it is probably more difficult for me to learn another language than it is for younger people. I am also extremely busy running my business so don’t have much spare time to study. Richard’s course is very well structured and the support and follow up he provides is excellent. I now have the ability to have basic conversations with my friends in China. I am sure I would not have this ability without the training that Richards’s course provides.

Testimonial from James, Houston, USA

This program I found simple and easy to use (I found others added too much stuff which make checking them or reading everything challenging and very complicated).
The lessons structure is very good too! Well organized with the words review and conversation review and all!
It is also helpful that before each lesson you revise the previous words.. it sticks more before moving on to the next lesson

The help sheet is very, very important. Each new word a listener or a student learns must be written somewhere in the help sheet so that the student can listen while looking at the words (or explanation) and remember.
Maybe I am old fashioned but for me, seeing everything on paper is very important.

P.S.
